Key committee advances bill to allow youth to ride transit for free, extend ozone zero fare program
The bill to expand zero fare programs in Colorado now heads to the Finance committee for consideration.
After back-to-back increases in ridership from eliminating bus and train fares during the summer ozone season in 2022 and 2023, a Colorado Senate committee approved a bill, SB24-32, to help transit agencies eliminate fares for youth year round and extend the summer ozone zero fare program into the future.
