Golden city council hears testimony on proposed ban on flavored tobacco products

On Tuesday, July 11th the Golden City Council heard more than two hours of public comment on a proposed ordinance that would ban the sale of flavored tobacco products in the city limits. CoPIRG public health advocate Alex Simon testified in support of the ordinance, citing the need for local action given high teen vaping rates in Colorado and a lack of state and federal policies to reduce youth tobacco use.
