The largest fleet of 100% zero-emission school buses is rolling into the Midwest.

On March 4, the Troy Community Consolidated School District in Illinois received an award from Levo Partners to support the district’s efforts to replace its bus fleet of 64 buses with all-electric models in as little as five years. As a part of the award, Levo Partners will offer the district a wide range of services to assist its transition zero-emission buses — site planning, construction, installation of electric vehicle equipment like chargers and utility engagement.

The Troy Consolidated School District will also get support for any future endeavors to replace existing diesel and gas units through the use of subsidies available to it.

Illinois PIRG is calling on Gov. J. B. Pritzker to protect the health of our children, our communities and our planet by investing in clean, electric school and transit buses.
