Tell the Biden administration: Help prevent massive amounts of food waste by standardizing date labels

“Sell by," "best by," "use by," "freshest on," "expires on," and the rest of the range of date labels you can find on food products are often arbitrary and confusing to understand.

Revising our outdated date labeling system would help keep food out of landfills, save resources like water and energy, help us feed more people and reduce climate-warming emissions. In developing a new food waste strategy, please support reformed food date labels to help keep tons of perfectly good food from going to landfills.
