WHAT: Presser hosted by Campaign for the Updated Bottle Bill

WHERE: Beacon Street Entrance to State House, near corner of Park Street

WHEN: Wednesday, July 20, 9:30 a.m.

WHY: Group calls for quick passage of the Updated Bottle Bill (H890/S1650) immediately prior to Committee hearing at 10 a.m. in Gardner auditorium

WHO: Guests/speakers will include: Bottle Bill (a 7-foot-tall replica of a container), House sponsor Rep. Alice Wolf, Senate ally Sen. Jamie Eldridge, Fitchburg Mayor Lisa Wong and representatives of major organizations including MASSPIRG, League of Women Voters, MA Sierra Club, Environmental League of MA, MLEV, Mass Audubon, Mass Recycle, and many more. Following the presser, the group will proceed to Gardner auditorium for a 10 a.m. Telecom, Utilities and Energy Committee hearing, during which the Updated Bottle Bill will be heard.
