Massachusetts needs a public transit system that is fast, frequent, reliable, and sustainable – one that enables more people to drive less and live more.

Join MASSPIRG on Wednesday, April 19th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at MassBay Community College for a Transform Transportation event focused on building a robust, reliable, and sustainable transportation system.

At this event, you’ll hear from TransitMatters, an advocacy group committed to improving public transportation and mobility across the Commonwealth, as they present their vision for Regional Rail. This initiative aims to transform our Commuter Rail system into a modern, electric network that provides speedy, frequent, and dependable service for all.

You’ll also hear from Emily VanDewoestine from the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) about the essential public transit services they provide to 32 communities within the I-495/MetroWest corridor.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, engage, and be part of shaping the future of transportation in our region. Join us to discover how you can make a difference in creating a more sustainable and reliable transportation system for all.

Please Note: All visitors to the MassBay campus must be vaccinated against COVID-19. Attendees who are not affiliated with the college should request a MassBay Guest Pass and/or bring their vaccination cards with them to the event.
