Join me and Jimmy Tingle Saturday, April 6, 7PM
As we campaign for recycling and other public interest issues, sometimes we forget an important thing: having fun. We're lucky enough that nationally known comedian Jimmy Tingle is hosting an event on Saturday night, April 6, at the Regent Theater in Arlington, to promote passage of the Updated Bottle Bill and to have some fun doing it. While I've never been mistaken for a stand-up comedian, Jimmy has invited me to part of the program, so please come and laugh at, I mean with, me.

“Here’s my empty water bottle- give me a nickel!!!”
Hi Folks,
We need action on this issue!! The
Bottle Bill Update legislation has been stalled and blocked by some of
our elected officials for some 16 years! World War II only took 4 years!
Join us!
Sat. April 6th at 7pm
for some great comedy, music and conversation as we rally to push for passage of an updated Bottle Bill. Click here for tickets.
What is the “Updated” Bottle Bill, you ask?
The Bottle Bill refers to the state’s 5¢ deposit on bottles, and has been
around for 30 years. It is by far the state’s most effective recycling
and litter control program. It’s a great bill, BUT it doesn’t cover
water, tea, or other non-carbonated beverages. That’s what we’re pushing
for on April 6th – an updated Bottle Bill!

Why the Bottle Bill Update?
- It will decrease litter and increase recycling.
- It is endorsed by 208 cities and towns.
- It is supported by 77% of voters.
- It helps cities and towns with litter/disposal costs; The State estimates
that cities and towns will save approximately $7 million total in these
costs once the update passes. - It complements curbside recycling, reaching the on-the-go beverages that
curbside cannot. For example, curbside recycling recycles only 22% of
water bottles, but the bottle bill brings in 80% of deposit bottles like
Coke and Pepsi.
About Hornography
Hornography is a pop/rock/hip-hop-playing brass band based in Somerville, MA. They
perform original arrangements of music from the last four decades,
including TV themes, film music, and top 40 hits. Their curiously strong
blend of trumpet, saxophone, trombone, melodica, bass guitar, drums,
and hand percussion makes us a potent musical force that kids and adults
love to dance to.
