Today, we testified on legislation introduced by Del. Hornberger to establish the right to repair for farm equpiment in Maryland.
Establishing minimum efficiency standards for our appliances will save energy, protect public health, and lower utility bills.
Numerous studies, including one by the Consumer Brand Association, have shown that most consumers assume the chasing arrows symbol signifies that an item is able to be recycled. Many of us take the time to check every container we use, and if we see that chasing arrows symbol somewhere on the container, we rinse it out thoroughly, and throw it in the recycling bin.
Today, we testified on HB 702 to require election judges to be trained on what methods judges can use to assist elderly voters and voters with disabilities and also require a sign outlining these methods to be placed at polling sites. You can read our written testimony here.

We support SB528, the Climate Solutions Now Act, because it improves upon our state’s current plan and puts us on a better path to reach these goals.
