With a growing list of attorneys general suing PFAS manufacturers, the EPA nearing completion of new drinking water standards, states taking bold action on PFAS regulation, and new contamination being found across the country, the report offers policy options as well as clear background and analysis of the threat of PFAS to our health and our environment.
PFAS don’t break down in the human body or in the environment – hence the nickname “forever chemicals.” Even very low levels of exposure are linked to a range of health problems, including kidney cancer, reproductive risks, reduced vaccine response and more.
