New data from the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Division of Transit and Rail shows Bustang and its family of statewide bus service grew by 25% last year.

Total ridership reached 279,484 passengers.

Building on the 2023 ridership gains, CDOT plans to increase service on the West, North and South routes to 10 daily weekday roundtrips. These services connect Denver with Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and the west I-70 corridor mountain communities.

“People should have options when they travel around Colorado,” said Danny Katz, CoPIRG executive director. “It’s great to see hundreds of thousands of people climbing on board our state’s bus system and I applaud CDOT, with support from the state legislature, for ramping up bus service that people are clearly clamoring for.”
