Tell the EPA: Toxic “forever chemicals” don’t belong on our farms

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin:

PFAS are so hard to break down they’ve earned the nickname “forever chemicals.” And they can cause a range of dangerous health problems, including reproductive damage, immune system suppression and cancer.

Currently, PFAS-laden sewage sludge can be spread on around 20 million acres of America’s farmland each year. From there, these dangerous chemicals can leak into our food supply and infiltrate our drinking water.

PFAS poses too great a risk to American families. I urge you to stop the use of PFAS-contaminated sewage sludge on farmlands today.
