Beyond plastic

Tell Chick-fil-A: It’s time to move beyond plastic

Chick-fil-A CEO Andrew Truett Cathy:

Last year, Chick-fil-A served 2.1 billion customers. That’s a lot of chicken sandwiches — and a lot of plastic waste.

From plastic food containers to those iconic red-and-white foam cups, Chick-fil-A’s continued use of plastic packaging is contributing to our growing plastic waste crisis. Your company has already agreed to replace its foam cups with paper alternatives in select stores. I urge you to phase out all plastic packaging in all your stores to help reduce the amount of plastic waste headed to landfills and to lead the fast food industry in a more sustainable direction.

Sincerely,
