Keep communities safe from fossil fuel extraction

Not only are oil and gas drivers of climate change, but their production and extraction harms Californians’ health. Oil and gas drilling releases toxic air pollutants that can cause numerous health problems like birth defects, asthma, and cancer when inhaled.

This is why we’re working to protect California’s communities by passing a law to require that oil well drilling be kept at a safe distance from places where people live, work, and go to school.
