More than 800,000 pressure cookers have been recalled because the lid can come off while it’s being used and cause the contents to splash out and burn people, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced. The electric and stovetop pressure cookers were manufactured by Sensio under the Bella, Bella Pro, Cooks and Crux brands.
About 860,000 were recalled after the company received 63 reports of problems, including 61 burn injuries. Some were second- and third-degree burns to the face, torso, arms and hands. The items can be returned for a refund. There are a dozen varieties of various quart sizes. The item numbers involved are listed here.
The cookers were sold at merchants including JCPenney, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Macy’s, Target and Amazon from 2015 to 2020.
