Tell the EPA: Don’t relax restrictions on toxic acephate

Acephate has been linked to neurodevelopmental disorders, including hyperactivity and lower IQs in children. Its risks are clear enough that the European Union banned the pesticide more than 20 years ago. And the EPA has had restrictions on it for years due to scientific consensus that children are particularly vulnerable to the harms of pesticides.

There are safer ways to grow our food that don’t put kids’ health at risk. I urge the EPA to maintain these important safety restrictions on acephate.
