Oregon and Washington’s new laws eliminating single-use plastics are a huge step in the right direction — but we can’t take our foot off the gas now. Plastic waste continues to pile up all around us, and in order to turn the tide, we’ll need to turn this momentum into even stronger action to stop this pollution at the source.
That’s why we’re doubling down on our campaigns to ban more of the worst single-use plastics and pass “producer responsibility” laws that put the financial burden of dealing with plastic waste onto the companies producing the plastic in the first place.
