Whole Foods customers — and the public at large — agree that we need to reduce the amount of wasteful single-use plastic in our lives. But the reality is that Whole Foods is often making it harder, rather than easier, for us to do that.
If Whole Foods were to step up and eliminate single-use plastic packaging from its shelves, it would both make an immediate impact in preventing more plastic from piling up in our landfills, and also set a new industry standard and encourage other grocers to take similar action.
But the company won’t act unless we can make our call for the elimination of wasteful packaging even louder. With your support, we can move Whole Foods beyond plastic. Will you donate today?
