PFAS chemicals are linked to cancer, birth defects, liver disease, decreased immunity, hormone disruption and a range of other serious health problems. They’ve been dubbed “forever chemicals” because when they seep out of the products they’re used in or the facilities that manufacture those products, they stick around forever — and the threats they pose to our health become increasingly serious as they accumulate.

Recent studies have found PFAS in a range of clothing and textiles, including children’s school uniforms. We shouldn’t be allowing these chemicals to put the health of our kids at risk just so their clothes can be waterproof or stain-resistant.
