Health experts are calling attention to a threat that’s been on the rise for the last several years: drug-resistant infections. Ranked the number one public health threat of the future by the WHO, these researchers warn that continued inaction could result in as many as 10 million drug-resistant infection-related deaths by 2050.

To combat these illnesses, we need to prevent the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in the first place, and PIRG is organizing to stop the overuse of our lifesaving antibiotics on industrial farms.
