Tell Allstate: Don’t sell drivers’ data

You know Allstate as a car insurance company — but did you know it also sells driver data? Allstate’s in-house data broker, Arity, collects and sells access to millions of Americans’ driving behavior data that it harvests using smartphone apps. Arity sells this data to insurance companies and on third party marketplaces for targeting ads — all without people knowing.

There’s no good reason for Allstate to secretly collect and monetize people’s driving data. Tell it to stop unnecessary data collection and sales.
