MASSPIRG joins Vice President Harris for energy efficiency event
Vice President Kamala Harris will deliver remarks Wednesday announcing federal investments in energy efficiency and other clean energy technologies.
Winter is around the corner, and for many people that means higher heating bills and more fossil fuel use in our home. But help is coming in the form of new federal funding to weatherize homes, help low-income consumers and replace inefficient appliances and heaters with clean, electric ones, such as heat pumps.
MASSPIRG Executive Director Janet Domenitz will join Vice President Harris at an event today in Boston announcing the winterization, energy efficiency and home electrification investments from the PIRG-backed Inflation Reduction Act and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Also attending: U.S. PIRG Environment Campaigns Director Matt Casale, Tony Dutzik of Frontier Group and MASSPIRG Students.
