MASSPIRG’s Janet Domenitz joined Senator Edward J. Markey, Chair of the Environment and Public Works (EPW) Subcommittee on Clean Air, Climate, and Nuclear Safety, in a virtual climate briefing.
During the special briefing, the Senator discussed the historic climate and clean energy provisions included in the Inflation Reduction Act which is expected to be signed by President Biden soon. Among other topics, the Senator highlighted groundbreaking measures promoting clean energy technologies, electric vehicle adoption, and environmental justice in the Commonwealth.
