Ask Your State Senator and Representative to Support the Bigger Better Bottle Bill

The Massachusetts Bottle Bill is the most effective recycling tool we have, but it’s more than 40 years old and is sorely in need of an update.

When the law was passed in 1982, there was no such thing as water bottles, sports drinks, and other ‘new age’ beverages. We need a deposit on those containers to reduce litter and waste. And the deposit–still at nickel from decades ago–needs to be a dime.

That’s why we’re asking the state Legislature to pass H 3690 / S 2104, An Act to Update the Bottle Bill.
