HAMPDEN COUNTY, Mass. — As we enter the holiday season and many of us make plans to travel and celebrate together, many U.S. states are experiencing rising numbers of COVID-19 infections. Experts warn this could be the start of another winter surge. Massachusetts is among the states seeing a significant uptick in COVID-19 cases, which began even before Thanksgiving holiday. With many of us reuniting with loved ones or returning home in the coming weeks for holiday celebrations, it’s important we have the tools to discuss the issue, hear concerns, and share accurate and helpful information with those not yet vaccinated against COVID-19.

WHAT: Local experts are holding an online forum to share information on how to communicate about the COVID-19 vaccines and counter misinformation. Speakers will share their professional expertise and experiences, and answer audience questions. The forum is sponsored by The MA Chapter of the Academy of Pediatrics, MA Association of Public Health Nurses, the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, and the MASSPIRG Education Fund.

WHEN: Wednesday, December 8, 2021, 6:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. (ET)
