The EmPOWER Maryland energy efficiency program has delivered important benefits to Marylanders since it was created in 2008 but needs to be strengthened to support state climate goals, help consumers with lower utility bills and improve indoor air quality.
A recent report from Maryland PIRG Foundation details EmPOWER’s track record and recommends key changes that would bring down consumers’ utility bills, increase energy efficiency, and reduce climate pollution.
