The Maryland Public Service Commission held its final public hearing on BGE’s proposed multi-year rate hike on Wednesday night. Activists, community leaders, consumer rights groups, labor leaders, environmentalists, and the Baltimore City Council all turned out to voice their opposition to the structure of the plan, as well as its impacts on Marylanders’ financial security, well-being, and climate future.
The PSC is accepting public comments on the proposal until September 29th, you can sign our petition or send your own message here. The Commission will make a decision in the rate case by the end of the year.
