Tell 3M: Keep toxic forever chemicals out of our water
Dear 3M CEO William Brown:
We urge you to stop the release of any PFAS chemicals from 3M facilities into America’s waterways. While 3M recently committed to end PFAS manufacturing and “[w]ork to discontinue use of PFAS across our product portfolio” by the end of 2025, a draft permit would still allow the company’s facility in Cottage Grove, MN, to release some types of PFAS into a creek that flows into the Mississippi River.
Even low levels of PFAS chemicals are toxic to human health, and millions of Americans depend on the Mississippi River for drinking water.
It’s time to turn off the toxic tap. Please order an end to all 3M releases of PFAS into our waterways.
