Pine-Sol cleaning products recalled over bacteria concerns
About 37 million bottles of Pine-Sol cleaner are being recalled; they were produced between January 2021 and September 2022.
Clorox has recalled 37 million bottles of Pine-Sol cleaner over concerns they could contain harmful bacteria, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall affects scented cleaners including lavender, lemon fresh, sparkling wave and orange energy. The original pine scent is not affected by the recall.
Testing identified a bacteria often found in soil and water. People with weakened immune systems or external medical devices could get a serious infection requiring medical care. Those with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by this particular bacteria.
