About 83,000 Boon Flair high chairs have been recalled because the seat can detach and allow a child to fall out, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced. The importer, TOMY International Inc. of Illinois, has received 34 reports of issues, including 24 falls, some resulting in injuries.

The high chairs were sold at retailers including Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Toys ‘R’ Us and Walmart. The Flair models sold for about $230 to $250; the Flair Elite models sold for about $380. The recall includes Flair models manufactured before September 2016 and all Flair Elite models.

Consumers should not use the recalled high chairs and should contact TOMY for a free repair kit including new bolts at 866-725-4407 or https://recall.tomy.com.
