Making the switch to electric means healthier air and less pollution warming the planet, and soon, the number of electric transit buses on our streets is set to double thanks to new grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Forty-six states and the District of Columbia will get new electric or low-emission buses with funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.\r\n\r\nU.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg says:\r\n\r\n\"Every day, over 60,000 buses in communities of all sizes take millions of Americans to work, school, and everywhere else they need to go. Today\u2019s announcement means more clean buses, less pollution, more jobs in manufacturing and maintenance, and better commutes for families across the country.\"\r\n\r\n<a
