The USPS, which operates the federal government's largest fleet of vehicles, is doing its part to reduce emissions.
Following through on a commitment made in December, the United States Postal Service awarded contracts this week for 9,250 commercially available left-hand drive (LHD) battery electric vehicles (BEVs) as well as initial orders for more than 14,000 charging stations to be deployed at Postal Service facilities.

Now the USPS, which operates the nation’s largest fleet of vehicles, is doing its part. 75% of new vehicles purchased by the agency in 2023 will be electric and beginning in 2026, all new vehicle purchases will be electric.
State government fleets operate thousands of vehicles, and agencies can use their purchasing power to invest in more electric vehicles. Ask your Governor to lead by example by directing state agencies to purchase electric vehicles.
