Tell the governor: Ditch dirty gas mowers & leaf blowers to clean up our air
We need to phase out dirty gas lawn mowers and leaf blowers to make our air safer to breathe.
Proposals under consideration to stop the sale and limit the public use of the dirtiest gas-powered lawn mowers and leaf blowers in our region
The Colorado Air Quality Control Commission (AQCC) kicked off a rulemaking hearing on Regulation 29 this morning to consider proposals to cut harmful emissions from gas-powered lawn and garden equipment. CoPIRG Foundation calls on our air quality leaders to adopt the stronger “alternate” proposal before them so we can cut as much pollution from dirty, loud gas-powered lawn mowers and leaf blowers and other handheld tools as quickly as possible. Our health and quality of life depend on it.
Our Air Quality Control Commission #AQCC just started a rulemaking hearing to cut emissions from highly-polluting lawn equipment. We urge them to adopt the stronger proposal for Regulation 29 so we can cut as much harmful pollution as quickly as possible. https://t.co/ztSmQHmLqC pic.twitter.com/jzFYmo5QOC
