WHAT: During National Lead Poisoning Prevention Awareness Week, a panel of experts will highlight the ongoing risks of lead exposure for children in schools’ drinking water and what school districts in Colorado can do to protect children’s health including accessing available state and federal funding. On the panel, CoPIRG Foundation will announce a new campaign to urge school districts to adopt a ‘filter first’ policy before a key May 2023 reporting deadline.
