Recall Alert: Peloton recalls two million exercise bikes

The recall is due to the bike’s seat breaking during use, leading to fall and injury hazards

Earlier today, Peloton announced a voluntary recall of about 2.2 million original Peloton model bikes sold from January 2018 to May 2023 in the US. This voluntary recall is being conducted in cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

According to the CPSC, the recall is due to the bike’s seat breaking during use, leading to fall and injury hazards.

The CPSC recommends that consumers immediately stop using the recalled exercise bikes and contact Peloton for a free repair and seat post that can be self-installed. Consumers can reach Peloton toll-free at 866-679-9129 or online here.
