The U.S. PIRG Education fund is a non-partisan organization working to educate Americans, including residents in Maine, about the COVID-19 vaccines. In partnership with Maine healthcare professionals, we seek to promote accurate information about the COVID-19 vaccines with the understanding that access to this information is crucial when making your decision about whether to get vaccinated.

Adult Vaccination against COVID-19

While many Mainers are vaccinated against COVID-19, some folks still remain undecided or unsure. Maine healthcare professionals have always been there to help patients make sometimes difficult decisions about their health. Now, they’re here to share accurate information and advice with you as consider your decision to get vaccinated.

The COVID-19 vaccines are free of charge, and many clinics don’t require appointments, so protecting yourself against COVID-19 is more convenient than ever. To find a vaccination site near you, go to  https://www.maine.gov/covid19/vaccines/vaccination-sites or call 1-888-445-4111. If you need transportation to get your vaccine, call 1-855-608-5172 to reserve a free ride.

Child Vaccination against COVID-19

The FDA is soon expected to approve the COVID-19 vaccines for emergency use among 5 to 11 year olds. Some parents may have questions when making the decision about whether to vaccinate their child against COVID-19. With these questions in mind, Maine pediatricians are sharing information and advice about what to consider when making this decision for your child’s health.
