Arizona PIRG receives award from Friends of Transit

Arizona PIRG and Audra Koester Thomas and John Bullen, the Assistant Executive Directors of the Maricopa Association of Governments, received the annual Friends of Transit Award. The intro for Arizona PIRG stated that we “… worked tirelessly to elevate the conversation around the importance of Prop. 479 and expanding public transit in our growing communities. … Because of Arizona PIRG’s leadership and commitment to transit expansion, we are better positioned to meet the needs of our region - both today and in the future…”
