Tell your U.S. senators: Stop subsidizing fossil fuels

Worldwide, fossil fuel companies received record-high subsidies in 2022, funding an industry that pollutes our planet, harms our health and puts the safety of our communities at risk. Our tax dollars shouldn’t be used to prop up a major contributor to climate change and its associated impacts — extreme weather, extreme heat, poor air quality.

Today, we have the potential to power effective renewable energy projects that can help us reduce planet-warming emissions. We shouldn’t be diverting money away from those projects towards subsidies that will hurt us in the long run. Tell your U.S. senators: Support ending fossil fuel subsidies.
