Tell Amazon: Eliminate plastic waste
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy,
Amazon sends an astounding number of shipments out each day. Many of the products delivered are wrapped or padded in plastic that ultimately will go to the landfill, to the ocean, or come to pollute our communities. Amazon’s blue and white packaging is instantly recognizable. We don’t want to see it floating in the ocean or clogging the gutter.
Amazon has made some commitments to phase out plastic packaging and some changes to sustainable alternatives. But the company needs to set a deadline to eliminate all plastic waste from its shipping operations.
Plastic waste is harmful to our health and planet. It’s time for Amazon to take the next step in phasing out plastic waste.
