Call on your state officials to enforce price-gouging laws
Some businesses try to take advantage of consumers during tough times by unfairly jacking up prices when there’s a natural disaster, product shortages or other economic forces. States have various laws to protect consumers from price-gouging and to punish bad actors who increase prices excessively to take advantage of a current crisis.
Send a message to your governor and state attorney general to do more to protect consumers by enforcing price-gouging laws and prosecuting companies that try to illegally line their pockets.
