How You Can Help For 25 years, Superfund has worked to protect millions of Americans and hundreds of communities from health risks caused by exposure to dangerous toxics. Congress established the Superfund polluter fees to make sure polluters pay for toxic cleanups. Unfortunately, these fees expired in 1995. Now Americans, not polluters, foot the cleanup bills at the nation’s worst toxic waste sites. Please call your U.S. Representative to support H.R. 3584, a bill that would restore polluter funding for toxic waste cleanups by reinstating Superfund’s polluter fees. You can reach your representative at 202-224-3121. If you don't know who your representative is, that's OK. Just tell the operator your zip code, and they will connect you. Here's a message you can leave: “Hello, my name is _________, and I live in _________. I am calling to urge Representative _________ to cosponsor H.R. 3584, which would make polluters, not taxpayers, pay to clean up toxic waste sites.” Then, please report your call below so we can keep track of how many calls are made.
